Cabinet Refacing in Cape Coral
Balance Construction is based in Cape Coral, where we help homeowners update their cabinets without automatically replacing the whole kitchen. If the layout works and the cabinet boxes are sound, refacing gives you new doors, drawer fronts and finished surfaces while keeping that arrangement.

Start with the cabinets you already have
Open the doors and look beyond the finish. A cabinet that feels solid, holds its shape and sits securely in place is a different starting point from one with a soft bottom or a damaged side. We assess the existing boxes before recommending a new surface.
What stays
The structure of the kitchen
- The existing layout and footprint
- Cabinet boxes that are sound and secure
- Counters and appliances you are keeping
What changes
The visible parts of the kitchen
- Door and drawer fronts
- Veneer on exposed frames and panels
- Hinges and pulls
Our cabinet refacing service focuses on the visible parts of the kitchen: door and drawer fronts, veneer on exposed frames and panels, hinges and pulls. It keeps the existing footprint. If the main issue is where cabinets sit or how much storage you have, we’ll discuss replacement cabinetry instead.

Owner-operated since 2005
Meet Walter
Walter Martinez has owned and operated Balance Construction since 2005. We come to your home to look at what you have, explain the options and plan the work around your priorities.
The consultation is free and takes place at the home, so the conversation starts with your cabinets rather than a showroom display.
Bring the finish choices into the room
A door sample tells you more beside your flooring and counters than it does on its own. Think about which existing finishes you’re keeping, how much contrast you like and whether the hardware should stand out or blend in.
You don’t need to make those decisions before calling. For your Cape Coral consultation, a few wide kitchen photos and close-ups of worn areas are a useful start. Mention any doors that rub, drawers that stick or panels that have been exposed to water, so we can look at those together.
Questions from Cape Coral homeowners
Can I keep my current kitchen layout?
Yes. Refacing retains the layout and usable cabinet boxes. We review the condition of those boxes first, then discuss the doors, fronts and exposed finishes you’d like to change.
How long should I allow for refacing?
Installation usually takes about three days, with the actual schedule confirmed for your kitchen. Selection and ordering happen before installation and aren’t included in that approximate duration.
Can you help with cabinetry outside the kitchen?
Yes. We also supply and install custom cabinets and built-ins, along with finish carpentry. Tell us which room needs storage or trim work so we can include it in the discussion.
Cape Coral resources for a clearly defined scope
Cape Coral’s Permitting Services Division handles city building-permit activity. Its EnerGov portal provides permit and inspection status information. If your plans include other changes alongside cabinetry, bring the full list to the consultation so the cabinet work and any separate work are clear.
The city’s Permit Document Center includes residential remodel guidance. Requirements are specific to the work; the city can answer questions about your property. You can also use Florida DBPR’s license search when checking a contractor’s credentials.
