Cabinet Refacing in Punta Gorda

We help Punta Gorda homeowners plan cabinet updates around the room they already have. Refacing can change the doors, drawer fronts, visible cabinet finishes and hardware while retaining suitable cabinet boxes and their existing arrangement.

Balance Construction is an owner-operated business led by Walter Martinez since 2005. We travel from our Cape Coral base to assess projects at the home, so the conversation starts with your cabinetry, surrounding finishes and everyday needs.

A separate cabinet project shows how the door style, drawer fronts, finish and hardware can work together at a smaller scale.

Give the doors, hardware and trim one direction

A cabinet update reads as a whole when its details work together. Consider the door profile alongside the handles, the finish beside your counters, and how end panels meet the rest of the room. Bring pictures of the combinations you like, including any existing details you want to retain.

Our refacing page explains the parts that change. We also provide finish carpentry for trim and molding. Discuss both at the beginning if you want cabinetry and surrounding finishing work considered together.

Make room for the decisions that affect installation

Before ordering, we need a clear view of the proposed work and your selections. Tell us if appliances are changing, another contractor is working in the room or there are dates when access to the home is restricted. These details help us agree a practical sequence.

  1. Step one

    Decisions and selections

We agree the scope at the home and confirm door style, finish and hardware against the surfaces you’re keeping.

  2. Step two

    Ordering

Materials are ordered once the selections are settled. This period happens before installation and isn’t part of the installation estimate.

  3. Step three

    Installation

Refacing installation is usually about three days, but the schedule is confirmed for the individual kitchen.

If a particular visit or completion date matters to you, raise it during the consultation so it can be discussed with the scope.

A Punta Gorda mailing address and the city boundary

Some homes with a Punta Gorda mailing address are outside the incorporated city, including properties in Deep Creek and Harbour Heights. Confirm the property jurisdiction when planning work. For earlier county permit records, Charlotte County’s online permit research provides a starting point.

For a home within the city, the City of Punta Gorda Building division provides building contacts, forms and an online permit-information link. Confirm jurisdiction and project-specific requirements with the appropriate office when cabinetry is part of a wider plan. We arrange the consultation using your actual project address.

Choosing the right work for your Punta Gorda home

Can refacing coordinate with finishes I’m keeping?

That’s part of the selection conversation. We look at the surrounding surfaces and discuss door, finish and hardware choices in the context of the room.

What if I also want built-in storage?

Tell us about the additional space. Custom cabinets and built-ins are a separate service we can discuss alongside the kitchen, with the proposed scope set out for your project.

Do I visit an office or showroom in Punta Gorda?

We come to the project for the consultation. Balance Construction is based in Cape Coral and doesn’t operate a public showroom in Punta Gorda.
